Daniel Tannebaum – Creator

My two passions in life are internet and football. I had a eureka moment when I went to see England vs Belgium at Wembley play in a Euro 2012 friendly. I was with my buddy Ilie and although England won 1-0, I was sat there thinking: “Wait, this team has Fellani, Lukaku, Kompany, Hazard and Vermaelen????” I thought to myself “Holy crap, this team is going to be a powerhouse in the next couple of years.” And so a fan site about Belgium Football was born. I considered that the team was still very young and maybe the World Cup 2014 in Brazil was a bit soon for them to cause some damage but looking further ahead, this Belgium team really has a shot of Euro 2016 glory.

I am contributing to this website as I truly believe in it’s cause. Belgium will win Euro 2016 and they will show serious progress in the World Cup. Being a proud Belgian I’ve always supported my country, especially in sports. Unfortunately, we’re better known for Beer and Waffles than our sporting prowess. We were only known for female tennis where Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin made the country really proud. Regarding football, the most cheerful moment I had was in 2002 when we passed the group stage. We ended up losing to Brazil in the second round where a Marc Wilmots goal was unjustly called off. Now he is coming to Brazil as our coach to take his revenge.

My passion in life is football. After spending most of my career in Belgium, I transferred to the UK (as most good Belgian players do nowadays). I am currently in Manchester playing for the Oakhill Lions as striker. I am still only 22 and hope to impress Wilmots to call me up for the Euro 2016.
Long live Belgium! Vive la Belgique! Leve België!
